*TRIBAL Director of Environmental Department (Housekeeping Director) - Full time Hours 8 am - to 5 pm Monday - Friday

Duties

  • A director of housekeeping hires, trains, evaluates and disciplines housekeeping staff. He develops their work schedules and inspects their work to make sure they are meeting the facility's cleanliness expectations. He ensures their attendance at the company's safety training sessions. In a health care setting, the director also makes sure staff complies with infection-control procedures.

    The director orders supplies, manages a budget and produces reports. He processes invoices and approves employee timesheets. The director also oversees the facility's lost-and-found department and responds to guest complaints. He reports items in need of repair or maintenance.

 

Skills and Knowledge

  • Employers want a director of housekeeping to have strong communication, customer service and management abilities. Directors need basic computer skills and should be familiar with applicable local, state and federal regulations. They should also understand how to use cleaning chemicals safely. In some positions, the ability to speak both English and Spanish is a plus. 

 

Personal Traits

There are many duties and responsibilities of a motel housekeeper, which varies from motel to motel, based on the standard. Here is an outline of the job.  Keep Clean  The motel housekeeper should keep the guest rooms clean and tidy, by making the beds, keeping fresh bed sheets, curtains, and other necessary things in the room. The rooms should be set up neatly so that it makes a good impression on the customers. The areas such as the bathrooms, floors, corridors, windows should be kept clean and free from dust sticking on them. The floors should be mopped regularly and the doors and windows that have glasses, should be wiped thrice a week so that fingerprints or any other stains are not visible. Linens should be washed, ironed, folded. There should also be a well-organized laundry service in the motel. A motel housekeeper should be efficient in carrying out his duties in a very neat, quick and effective manner. Make sure you know how to organize clutter.

Know the Place


If the motel has some facilities and amenities, such as the fireplace in the guest rooms, automatic windows, air conditioners, etc. every housekeeping staff should be aware of that, and also know how to operate them. He should also know the location of the hotel very well and the area around it to help him in showing directions to visitors.

Keep Up the Standards


Every motel has certain standards for which they are popular. Know the standards set by the motel's housekeeping supervisor and the managers regarding cleanliness and maintenance. Maintain the stock and supply rooms and other cleaning services. Make sure that the customer service you provide is according to the standards set by the motel and is maintained throughout. Always attend to any queries or inquiries that come up. The most important thing is to provide correct and accurate information to the customers. Don't forget to greet the customers.

All the guest room corridors should be kept very clean. If a customer is having any problem, it is the duty of the housekeeper to attend him/her in a very polite manner, and solve the problem. A custodian reports to the building or property manager, such as a school principal or head custodian. Generally, a custodian works 40-hour weeks, although some nights and weekend work will be needed. Primary job responsibilities include painting, mopping, sweeping, stripping and waxing floors, changing light fixtures and bulbs, removing waste and other types of garbage, performing routine inspection of fire extinguishers, sanitizing restrooms and other public areas. custodians also are required to maintain a clean office appearance by dusting desks, filing cabinets, tables and computer terminals. In some offices, a custodian might need to tend parking areas, maintain landscaping such as mowing grass, watering plants and flowers and in certain areas, remove snow and de-ice driveways. A custodian will also have responsibility for maintaining inventory of cleaning products and supplies. Highly skilled custodians can also be responsible for carpentry such as repairing desks, chairs, hanging artwork and other general maintenance as required. Office Buildings House keepers must follow all OSHA policies.

TRIBAL Director of Veteran Affairs - Must put in at least 25 Hrs a week into position

Function

  • Veteran service representatives advise veterans about what types of insurance, pension and other benefits they have an entitlement, performing investigations to determine their eligibility. Representatives also update records to begin benefits payments or to make changes to the amount or type of benefits veterans receive.

Skills

  • Because much of their work involves computers, familiarity with the basic operation of a computer and the ability to learn new software programs is necessary to the work of veteran service representatives. The ability to interpret medical data and legal terminology and communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary for the position.

Education

  • To qualify for a veteran service representative job, applicants must have either one year of education at the master's degree level or have earned a bachelor's degree and either maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher or been in the top one-third of their graduating class at their university or college.

Experience

  • In addition to education, the position of veteran service representative require one year of work experience with the federal government in a field related to the post, such as assisting a veteran service representative or working elsewhere for the VA.

 

* TRIBAL MANAGER OF TRIBAL CRIMINAL JUSTICE / CSI -   40 hrs 8 am - 5 pm Monday - Friday

Experience in Science of applying medical knowledge to legal questions, recognized as a specialty since the early 19th century. Qualifications A director of nursing is required to have a master's degree in a nursing-related field. Previous nursing supervisory experience is also required.

Must be experience in Communications network consisting of many computers within a local area, such as a single building or company complex. Individual users can share data or files on a LAN as if the data or files resided on their respective computers; a central computer used for this purpose is called a SERVER. Works with the Social workers to make sure to provide valuable services to veterans and their families. The Department of Veteran Affairs employs social workers in a variety or inpatient and outpatient settings. Social workers may work as hospital social workers, outbased clinic social workers or as counselors in psychiatric units. Communications Management

Required Skills

  • Groundskeepers must have a sense of personal responsibility---they're often left to manage the maintenance of an outdoor facility with little or no direct supervision for the entire workday. They also must be able to operate machinery such as lawnmowers and weed eaters, in addition to hand tools such as hedgers, trimmers, shovels and rakes. Basic mathematical skills are required for calibrating pesticide spray machines.

 

Work Environment

  • Groundskeeping work is physically demanding. There's a lot of repetitive bending, lifting, digging and walking for long periods of time. Groundskeepers work outdoors in all kinds of weather, including both hot and dry and cold and wet conditions. It's for this reason that groundskeepers should be physically fit to handle the physical demands of the job. There's very little danger involved (only when the groundskeeper is applying pesticides).
